PREVIOUS COMMITTEE ACTION No previous action to record WITNESS REGISTER No witnesses to record ACTION NARRATIVE CHAIR PAUL SEATON called the House State Affairs Standing Committee meeting to order at 8:09:48 AM. Representatives Lynn, Elkins, Gardner, and Seaton were present at the call to order. Representatives Gatto, Ramras and Gruenberg arrived as the meeting was in progress. ^Division of Homeland Security Executive Session 8:10:01 AM CHAIR SEATON announced that the only order of business was the Division of Homeland Security Executive Session. 8:10:02 AM REPRESENTATIVE LYNN moved to go into executive session. [Although there was no objection, the executive session did not start immediately. It took place during the at-ease that follows.] 8:10:15 AM CHAIR SEATON explained Rule 22(b)(3), regarding executive sessions, and named the staff allowed to stay in the room. CHAIR SEATON stated for the record that the following legislative staff members had been invited and were present for the executive session: Louie Flora, Staff to Representative Paul Seaton; Cody Rice, Staff to Representative Carl Gatto, Michael J. Sica, Staff to Representative Bob Lynn; Iris Matthews, Staff to Representative Berta Gardner; and Anne Pesckoe, Assistant to Representative Max Gruenberg. 8:12:07 AM REPRESENTATIVE GRUENBERG expressed his desire that everyone state for the record that he/she is in agreement with the confidentiality of the executive session. 8:12:28 AM CHAIR SEATON asked if anyone disagreed with the policy outlined. There was no response, which Chair Seaton specified meant no dissent. The committee took an at-ease from 8:13:43 AM to 9:56:09 AM to hold the executive session. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business before the committee, the House State Affairs Standing Committee meeting was adjourned at 9:56:36 AM.
